For the Get Involved page, we collect:

- IP addresses (for spam prevention by WordPress).
Why we collect this data:
- To contact and stay in touch with new volunteers and interested persons.
How this data is stored:
- On WordPress, which hosts this website.
- In secure remote storage accessible only by trusted volunteers.
This data is retained for a period of 1 year, after which we delete it.
Petitions
For petitions, we collect:
- names,
- email addresses,
- phone numbers,
- job titles, and
- IP addresses (for spam prevention by WordPress).
Why we collect this data:
- To add signatories to petitions.
- To verify authenticity of signatures.
- To add consenting signatories to our newsletter.
How this data is stored:
- On WordPress, which hosts this website.
- In secure remote storage accessible only by trusted volunteers.
To verify the authenticity of petition signatories, we keep unredacted information for a period of 4 years, after which we delete it. Otherwise, petitions containing the redacted information of signatories are released publicly to the internet.
Website Analytics
WordPress also tracks the following user information while browsing our website:
- which pages are visited,
- time and date of visit,
- referrer, and
- country of visit.
