Waymo is lobbying politicians to deploy their vehicles across Ontario.

- Waymo is an American company that collaborates heavily with Google. This means that Canadians’ data are at risk, as they send our data to American law enforcement like ICE.
- Jobs will be outsourced to software engineers in California, data labellers in Kenya, and support staff in the Philippines. Uber, Lyft and taxi drivers will lose their jobs as Waymo outcompetes them.
- Public transit will suffer as people with more discretionary income will spend it on Waymos, instead of taking the subway, making transit worse for everyone else.
- Congestion will worsen as Waymos begin to clog our streets. More Waymos means more cars means more traffic!
- Waymo will avoid accountability when things go wrong. In Austin, Texas, Waymos are speeding past school buses. If they come to Ontario, we will have to deal with Waymos getting stuck and breaking traffic laws.
Let’s Protect Ontario, not Waymo!
